Sage & Whitney // Boulder Portrait Photography

These two. They're crazy goons. With the best hearts. They're good-hearted goons, if you will. They chucked snow at each other. They free-styled on Pearl Street. They poked each other in the face with strawberries. At one point, Whitney hiked Sage on her back and busted out a good ole airplane. You know what I'm talking about, right? Arms out, torso horizontal and tiny, little Whitney with her guy on her back. That one is a beast, I tell you. (You'll see the evidence when I post the "Sage & Whitney Outtakes" in a few days). On the way up to Sage's cabin in Nederland, the police blocked the road. As we watched medical professionals place someone in a stretcher and lift him inside an ambulance, they immediately started praying for this person. For the Lord's peace and healing to surround him. For the doctors. For the doctor's hands. For his family. For the Lord's presence to be felt among all of them. I don't know if I'll ever forget that moment.Good-hearted goons.I have to say, it is SUCH a HUGE honor to be showing you these photographs. Whitney is an incredible photographer, and my jaw dropped a little when she asked me to shoot this session. I feel very humbled. These two crazies met in high school, and sometime you should sit down and ask them their story...I was blown away by their ambition to serve other people. Whitney, as a photographer. Sage, as a veterinarian. I hope these two EXPLODE in the next few years. Hah, no really. I hope they explode with their passions and their love for people and with their ability to punch people in the stomach with their humor. I know mine was aching from all the laughter by the end of the day. These two are destined for something really, really profound. I can feel it.
