lindsay & jake // lower lake ranch wedding photographer

Lindsay, girl, you better watch your front door. I'm totally showing up to your house sometime with wine and cookies because I am determined we are going to be friends for a really long time!! Sorry, Jake, your stuck with me too :)  After you guys left in your cute car with the cute balloons while cute bubbles flickered in and out of the night sky, I stayed for a little while taking pictures. As your friends brought in your lanterns and packed up your sweet family photos, I realized, I didn't want to leave. I really didn't want your wedding to be over. I wanted to keep taking pictures of you, Lindsay, dancing with your cowboy boots and your sweet smile. I wanted to go back to the pond -- gorgeous mountains lingering in the background -- and take just one more photo of the two of you holding each other like two kids on Christmas. I wanted to keep watching you and your bridal party run like crazies to the playground. I'll never forget seeing your bridesmaids pray for you, Lindsay, before the wedding. Or the bandanas you wrapped around your eyes so you could hold each other before you stood next to those beautiful sunflowers and said your vows. I'll never forget the rain clearing just in time. The bagpipers. Your friends and family belting the CU fight song as Lindsay covered her ears. Jake's face as he danced with his girl for the first time. Your wedding made such a lasting impression on my heart. But your kindness, your spunk,  your sentimentality, your desire to love each other well and run hard toward the Lord -- that made a permanent impression on my heart. Thank you both for including me on such a special, special day!!A HUGE thank you to Scott Nelson for shooting with me!  Check out his work at scnelson.com!! He's pretty awesome, don't you think?
