Before they broke my heart and moved away (come back!), this sweet family and I spent the afternoon playing at Wash Park in Denver. I can't believe it's been more than a year and a half since this afternoon, almost four years since I photographed their gorgeous wedding in Denver and reception in Evergreen, and five years since I photographed their engagement photos in Savannah, GA (what a dream come true that was for me!) Watching Caitlin and Jacob with their boys definitely gave me baby fever that day, and I'll never forget Caitlin pulling me aside and telling me--so gently and eloquently-- that she hoped God would bless our family with a baby soon. She knew the immense joy that motherhood brings. Looking back, I'm sure that my time with the Pride family was God's way of softly, sweetly planting that seed in my heart.
