the new love of my life

My heart is melting. Meltttting I tell you. For my brother's new pup, Dixie, who currently abides at our place. I get to see this little fuzzball all. the. time. I call her the Nibbler mostly because she is a tiny biting terror. Oh, she loves a good pant leg or suit leg (sorry Daddio!) to nibble and tear. Ohhh puppy! What I know about the Nibs at this moment: she loves to chew on toothbrushes. she loves rocks. she loves munching on crabapples. she loves to fall asleep like a little angel (oh how she tricks us with her sweet rolls of fat and squishy puppy belly) near her water bowl. She loves her food bowl too. Really. She's growing so fast, this little Nibs, that I'm scared I'll wake up tomorrow and have a horse to ride around the suburbs of Denver. Dixie, welcome to the family! Also, some funny things happened while I sat on this overstuffed armchair writing this particular blog post:1. I slammed Dixie in the refrigerator door during a snack break. Didn't even phase her. I know I'm a quirky person, but I'd hate to have the "dog slammer" stigma following me around my whole life. It doesn't help that I slammed our family Yorkie in our front door when she was a teentzy puppy. Poor thing. They're both fine, for the record, but gahhh....2. Knocked Up is playing in the background right now. Horrible movie. Anyway, a commercial for First Response pregnancy tests popped up during one of the breaks. Teehee.3. The Nibs fell asleep on the stair step next to me. Her long horse leg is dangling over it so sweetly...Sighh...oh gosh I need to grab my camera and get this shot. I'm out!Introducing The Nibbler:
