Colangelo Family // Denver Family Photographer

Oh Colangelo family, thank you for spending such a lovely, golden afternoon with me. For someone who has a somewhat new babe herself, I walked away feeling bizarrely baby crazy after watching Lana smooch on her newborn sister, Ália. Aren't their names gorgeous? Gorgeous name, gorgeous family. (And while we're on the subject, gorgeous home, gorgeous lighting, gorgeous orange sunset, gorgeous red coat, gorgeous eyelashes  -- ). Lately, I've been trying to get back into reading poetry, and I'm slowly becoming obsessed with Billy Collins's work (late to jump aboard, but so glad I did). This session reminds me of this Collins poem:DaysBy Billy CollinsEach one is a gift, no doubt, mysteriously placed in your waking handor set upon your foreheadmoments before you open your eyes.Today begins cold and bright, the ground heavy with snowand the thick masonry of ice,the sun glinting off the turrets of clouds.Through the calm eye of the windoweverything is in its placebut so precariouslythis day might be resting somehowon the one before it,all the days of the past stacked highlike the impossible tower of dishesentertainers used to build on stage. No wonder you find yourselfperched on the top of a tall ladderhoping to add one more.Just another Wednesdayyou whisper, then holding your breath, place this cup on yesterday’s saucerwithout the slightest clink.Denver Family Photographer // Denver Portrait Photographer // Denver Family Photographs // Denver Newborn Photographer // Denver Family Photojournalism // Colorado Family Photographer // Colorado Portrait Photographer // Colorado Family Photographs // Colorado Newborn Photographer // Colorado Family Photojournalism // Boulder Family Photographer // Boulder Portrait Photographer // Boulder Family Photographs // Boulder Newborn Photographer // Boulder Family Photojouranlism
