caleb & rachael // weddding // part one

If you know Caleb and Rachael at all, you know that trying to capture who they are in words is not an easy task. Their goodness, their love, their kindness -- it radiates from them, and it is so obviously present in who they are yet so strenuously difficult to explain. But you know them, so you know that already. I met Rachael in college (We actually became friends at a retreat. I was dressed in a cheerleader costume. She was dressed as Paris Hilton in a jailbird suit. Oh, college....) What I know of Rachael is this: She lives her life for the Lord and has the coolest little cross tattoo on her wrist. She has dedicated her career to caring for the physical and mental well-being of others. She traveled to India to serve the people there.  She is beloved by her family (see those cakes? Her grandmother MADE them!) and pours love out to them in equal measures. Rachael is outwardly and inwardly lovely. What I know about Caleb is this: he attends to and provides for the people around him without thinking about it. It's just his nature. He's funny. Really, really funny. He sweetly adores his family, especially his mom. He volunteers with high school students at Younglife, and graduated from Mines (ssssmarty!). He can pull off facial hair chops like a boss. When these two came together on their wedding day, all of that goodness just exploded. They went out of their way to greet  their guests and welcome their friends and laugh with their family. We all teared up as they read their vows, and I don't think a person there had even one doubt about the permanence of Rachael and Caleb's love for each other. Congratulations you two. (I can't wait to hang out at your house and check out your butterfly throne).Keep your eye out for part two, and if you haven't already, check out Caleb & Rachael's engagement photos.
