Audrey & Danny // Longmont Photography

Yellow motorcycles, horses, streams, beautiful trees, and raspberry filled cake from same bakery that whipped up their wedding cake made this one year anniversary love shoot unbelievably fun. I feel like these two are instant friends. We skipped past the small talk and dove right into the meaning of marriage. Good friends in a few hours time. You can't beat it. I love my job.As I head into my last two months of being engaged (is it weird that part of me is sad to be done with this whole engaged stage of life?),  I think about the joy Audrey radiated when she talked about her first year of marriage to Danny. It is so evident with these two that they savor every second of their married life, and they take such good care of each another. I know selfishness is a huge reason why many marriages fail. We can't seem to unwind ourselves from the intricate complexities and difficulties of our own lives. We can't seem to peel away the translucent web of our skin in order to see past ourselves and truly love our husband or wife like we love ourselves. Audrey & Danny, however, figured out how to serve one another, putting the other's needs above their own. I do love being engaged to the best man I have and will ever meet, but I'm also ready to be where Danny & Audrey are. Soaking up memories from their first year of marriage. And eating raspberry cake.
