alex & claire // boulder, colorado

I'm a little obsessed with these photographs and with these two people. Ever since our engagement shoot, I've known there is something --is majestic the right word? why, yes -- majestic about this couple. Majestic and romantic and cinematic -- and yet, very very real. You think I'm exaggerating? No, no my friend. They just linger into a field after their wedding, and suddenly, everything in the world stops except for the sweet, gentle movement of Alex's hand on Claire's shoulder. Suddenly, the only color with any speck of vibrancy is the blue of Claire's eyes. The only sound, Alex's deep laugh as he throws his head back. The world stands still and slowly exhales. The stalks of wheat whisper around their legs. The green surroundings pulse and rush back to life with the swoosh of Claire's gown as they rove through the grasses. This post is not for the light of heart. (Seriously, though, it's going to take you a while to go through it). This post is soaked to the brim with family and prayers and fields and golden twinkle lights. It's filled to capacity with the kind of love every bride and groom hopes for on their wedding day. So go grab a pumpkin spiced latte, and take a five minute break. It's people like Claire & Alex that make me feel so blessed to be a boulder wedding photographer.
